Weeell, having learned that natural air drying clay does not like being a skin less than 5mm thick over polystyrene(more cracks than a new years lock-in at a dubliners pub)...
.....fellback to playing with eggs and fire, leaving us with these..
| the first just hit with minor fire from a butane(not without adult supervision kiddies)torch the second skinned with clay painted red, drybrushed grey then white.the next brown, green.yellow ochre highlights much more appealing in real life, makes a good goblin/thing egg. |
| the nicest of the three but not really done justice by photo(sorry)bronzed, drybrushed black then given a glaze of old oak wax stain for wood.this one...feels nice, looks kinda dusty like a meteorite but the pen torch induced dimpling is just a little too regular to be natural.Alien tech perhaps? |
| have build images and descriptions for each of these and tips on framing them as props for games but din't want to over post myself . |
Nother nice accident, the upper image is a polymer clay...er..doodle,the second the same skinned with clay, sculpted with a matchstick and paintbrush;then glazed again with liquid wax stain
The..doodle had been sitting around for months, now finally Azathoth's mad blind pipers have a pipe to serenade the roiling madness at the center of space and time.
